OZEANIEN:
A fine and old Sepik River bone dagger. The bone has a nice yellowed patina, and is beautifully incised with swirling designs, which are typical for that cultural area. The pommel has been carved as a parrots head with traces of pigments still visible. These bone daggers were also used for traditional payments and trading. Delivery with certificate and correct description of origin. Total length: ca. 350 mm Weight: 90 g |
