Mother-of-pearl pendant with early religious representation.

The monogram of the artist is on the rear side.

AFRICA / EUROPE:

Rope, pulled up going off, with 21 pieces of six layer chevron beads, also called rosetta- or star beads. The beads are from the african trade and were produced in Venice, Italy, ca. 19th century A.D.

Dimensions of center bead (LxD): 36x30 mm.

Large faceted glass bead with leather string. Produced in Gablonz, Bohemia, approx. 1850 A.D. These beads could be produced more cheaply and came as glass simulation of the Indian carnelian beads into the Africa trade.

Deep blue, slightly transparent, Dutch glass rings. In Venice produced and approx. 150-250 years old. The glass rings have an irregular outside diameter, 11,5-18,5 mm and large inner diameter, 6-11 mm.

String of 25 pcs. olive shaped glass beads, partial soil finds. Red glass beads are rare and were very popular in the Africa trade. These were produced presumably in Bohemia and are approx. 100-150 years old.
